Background

The Happy Rebels Festival is the annual celebration for House of HR, bringing together branches from all over to unite under one theme. This year, they wanted a bold, innovative concept: Glitch Art Rebels. Our goal? To bring glitch art to life in a way that felt sophisticated, joyful, and bursting with energy, without falling into the tropes of horror or grunge.

We brought energy to the visuals with smooth glitch effects and rhythmic transitions, keeping the motion dynamic. At the heart of the story was The Rebel Punk, a masked character revealed through cinematic build-ups and visual cues. Fine lines, controlled glitches, and bursts of energy ensured clarity and impact. Vibrant overlays highlighted the festival’s joy, balancing mystery with a playful, bright aesthetic that kept the intrigue fun and engaging.

the challenge

The concept demanded a delicate balance: glitch art that was high-energy and mysterious without becoming chaotic or unsettling. The visuals needed to stay crisp and vibrant, exuding happiness and intrigue while keeping the focus on the festival’s fun, rebellious nature.

Quick facts

  • Celebrated the rebellious spirit of House of HR across all branches.

  • Visual theme: High-fidelity glitch art combined with energetic, happy vibes.

  • Brought mystery and excitement with “The Rebel Punk” narrative.
