Flowing Energy and Possibilities: Fluxys LNG Terminal

ONLINE

Background

At the heart of Northwestern Europe’s energy landscape lies the Fluxys LNG Terminal in Zeebrugge, a bustling port that facilitates the transshipment, storage, and regasification of liquefied natural gas (LNG). With its advanced infrastructure, the terminal not only supports today’s energy needs but also adapts to future demands, including the use of BioLNG and carbon-neutral fuels. Its strategic location on the North Sea connects global energy suppliers to homes and industries across Europe.

We brought the Fluxys terminal to life through engaging animations, illustrating its operations, versatility, and sustainability efforts. By visualizing key innovations like regasification with seawater, BioLNG integration, and multi-directional molecule transport, we highlighted its forward-thinking approach. The animation also showcased Fluxys’ commitment to decarbonization through renewable energy investments, carbon capture, and repurposed pipelines. With clear, accessible visuals, we transformed complex engineering into a compelling story for policymakers and the public alike.

the challange

Fluxys needed to communicate the complexity and scope of their operations—from the colossal LNG carriers and regasification processes to their commitment to sustainability. The challenge was to distill this intricate story into a visually compelling narrative that captures the imagination and educates stakeholders about their pivotal role in shaping the energy future.

Special thanks

To the amazing team at Sylvester and Telenet, who made collaboration a joy, and to every Whojo team member who brought their A-game to this project. Together, we turned an event into an experience—and that’s always worth celebrating. Cheers to the next Onstage!
